The process of making Vamee Current Transformer;
Stage 1: Best quality NO/GO sheet of 0.35mm thickness 35c 250 Grade low loss silicon steel is used for making Toroidal core and it is being treated to the specifier confirmation.
Stage 2: In our place, these Toroidal cores are impregnated in a varnish bath to avoid corrosion during the time of use.
Stage 3: This varnish-dipped core is dried in the sunlight to raise a high insulation resistance level.
Stage 4: After that, it is taken for core insulation on the core surface; 2 layers of cotton tape are wound to release the winding stress. Then one layer of PVC insulating tape is wrapped to withstand system voltage.
Stage 5: Now this insulated core is wound using high-quality electrolytic copper procured from reputed brands in the two parallel runs, to the required number of turns. While calculating the no. of turns all the errors occurring in CTs are taken into account to raise the accuracy.
Stage 6: After the winding, each & every unit is tested by applying full load current to adhere to the specification.
Stage 7: Finally high insulating material is wrapped on it to withstand HSV/ILV to the standard specification.
